Abstract The following diploma thesis comprises composition designs and performance guidelines as well as the written dramaturgical concept for a new theater piece based on Fjodor Michailowitsch Dostoyevski‘s novel Crime and Punishment . As part of a collaboration, the stage and costume designs for this piece have been prepared by former KUG student Rosa Wallbrecher, who submitted her portion of the project in her 2015 presentation of her thesis. The research portion of this work offers insights into Radio Plays as a genre and Dostojevski‘s biography as well as a short summary of the novel plot. Furthermore, towards the end of this work I suggest possibilities for future performances as well as uses of the research into Radio Plays in works to come.
