Abstract The reacTable* is an electronic music instrument with a tangible interface which is currently developed by the Interactive Sonic Systems Group at the MTG in Barcelona. In this project paper I describe new sounding objects of the reacTable* that simulate surface sounds and explore intuitively the mapping possibilities of the table. The new objects are implemented using the open source program PD.
